The Aubade Wind Trio was formed in 2025 with a sold-out concert at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. We’ll be performing on the Concerts Con Brio series at the beautiful, and acoustically ideal, Christ Episcopal Church in Poughkeepsie, NY. Our program features works by John Rutter, Malcolm Arnold, Paul De Wailly, Bruce Abbott, and Michael Walshe.

Flutist Carl Gutowski has been performing in solo and chamber music settings for over 30 years. Highlight performances over the past few seasons include venues such as Carnegie Hall’s Weill Recital Hall; the Troy Savings Bank Music Hall; the Chapel Restoration, Cold Spring, NY; the Cultural Center of Cape Cod; The Art Complex in Duxbury, MA; and the National Opera Center in NYC. He won the 2022 National Flute Association competition. Carl is also the Concert Manager of the Howland Chamber Music Circle in Beacon, NY. He holds a B.A. in Mathematics from Vassar College and an M.S. in Computer Science from Tufts University. His principal flute teachers were Tacy Edwards, William Hebert and John Solum. Zachary Pulse is a musician and teaching artist based in the Hudson Valley. His performance engagements this season include the Brooklyn Chamber Orchestra, Caroga Lake Music Festival, Harrisburg Symphony, and New York Wind Symphony. A champion of new music and working with living composers, Zach has commissioned several works that exhibit the oboe and the voice. His duo, So Much Hot Air—with mezzo-soprano, Jennifer Beattie—was in residence with the Fall 2023 Yale College Composition Seminar. Zach has presented chamber music concerts across the U.S. and Europe with a wide range of ensembles, earning him several awards, including Grand Prize at the Plowman Chamber Music Competition. Zach holds degrees from the Chicago College of Performing Arts, the University of Michigan, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Howland Chamber Music Circle in Beacon, NY.

“Chosen by the clarinet”, Transylvanian born Hungarian clarinetist, and Cape Symphony 2013 New England Concerto 'The Soloist' Winner, Mónika Veress, was noted for her “tender and insightful playing” and “exquisite musicianship” in a review by Keith Powers also stating “her soft passages sounded like whispers, and when she played with force, it was with complete confidence.”

In 2013 October Mónika  was featured as a guest artist with the Cape Symphony Orchestra, and was honored to perform for Hungarian dignitaries like the president of Hungary, János Áder, and the Honorary Consul of Hungary in Boston. 

Mónika Veress received her musical training at the prestigiuos Gh. Dima Music Academy, Cluj Napoca, Romania where she graduated with high honors and a Masters in Stylistics of Clarinet Performance.
