With a Master’s Degree in Music, and experience teaching students of all ages as early as preschool, K-12, and through college level I invite you to join me in the fun of learning music together.
I offer group, and individual private lessons in general music, rhythm, ear training, music theory, harmony, chamber music, and the following instruments : clarinet, recorder, beginner & intermediate piano.
With new learners I incorporate Kodaly's phylosophy of teaching with a child centered educational approach. In my music lessons I may combine traditional teaching techniques with the use of audio and video recording.

Where is the name of our music studio comes from? "As a child I used to take my clarinet and practice on top of our trees. Different trees gave different perspectives, and inspired different sounds, I felt I could sing with the birds. My dream is to build a circular tree house for our music studio, and share the freedom I felt as a child."

Monika is a fantastic teacher. She is knowledgable about the instrument, interested in what her students want to learn, and is very encouraging. Monika uses many different types of learning -- listening to good music, counting aloud, singing the notes, and pushing just slightly beyond what the student thinks she can do.
