The Great Music on Sundays @5 concert series presents its first live concert in more than two years: “Together Again!” on Sunday June 12 at 5pm to begin its 24th season at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House of Provincetown (236 Commercial St, 508.487.9344). “Together Again!” features music from Bach to the Balkans to Broadway and beyond with nine musicians and singers. Admission is free. Donations are very welcome to support this homegrown concert series.

This concert features musicians presenting selections previewing the events to come during the summer, with performances by pianists Craig Combs and John Thomas, Broadway concert singers Trish LaRose, Pamela Murray, Carolyn Rogers, saxophonist Ken Field, flautist Eric Maul, clarinetist Mónika Veress and Frederick Jodry on the historic 1850 Holbrook tracker organ. Bach, Bartok, Debussy and Sondheim are just a few of the composers whose music will fill one of the finest acoustic concert halls on Cape Cod. Built in 1847 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972, the UU Meeting House’s historic and rare trompe l'oeil walls and serene atmosphere provide the perfect setting for great music. Concerts feature the 1928 Steinway Model B concert grand piano and the historic 1850 Holbrook tracker organ.

After two years of the pandemic – during which Great Music on Sundays @5 continued to thrive online with 15 beautifully filmed concerts still available for viewing on our YouTube channel – it’s time to meet again, live! Real musicians with a real audience and great music, all in the same location.

Great Music on Sundays @5 presents its 24th season of weekly concerts from July 17 through September 11 at the Unitarian Universalist Meeting House, followed by an end of season celebration outdoors at the Mary Heaton Vorse House in Provincettown on Sunday September 18 from 4-6pm.

The Sunday concerts begin at 5pm and include an hour of delightful and stimulating music without borders: Baroque, classical, Broadway, international, piano, organ, a cappella and original music with more than 75 performers sharing a creative potpourri from across the centuries and around the world. There is something for everyone at Great Music on Sundays @5.

Each concert also will be live streamed on the concert series’ dedicated YouTube channel and will remain available for enjoyment for one week before the next concert is live streamed.

Great Music on Sundays @5 is Provincetown’s longest-running concert series of music of our world. Since the inaugural 1999 season, more than 340 concerts with hundreds of performers have provided music without borders for thousands of concertgoers.

For the July 17-September 11 concerts, general admission is $25 admission, $20 seniors, $50 limited priority seating, ages 12 & under free. Advance ticket purchases are available at brownpapertickets.com. Donations are welcome, and the concert series has PayPal and Venmo options. All concerts are handicapped accessible.
