Klarinetista & Friends at the Brewster Cultural Council Literary Eve Tuesday, October 25th, 2016 7:00 pm - 8:30pm Please join the Brewster Cultural Council and Brewster Ladies Library for their annual literary evening, by local poets and writers. Musical interludes will be provided by Klarinetista & Friends. Klarinetista & Friends is a diverse ensemble of Cape musicians galavanting between the lines of classical & jazz. Headed by Monika Woods (winner of Cape Symphony's Soloist competition) expect some unusual melodies from a broad range of centuries, and geographies, with some original classical composition tossed into the sonic salad. About the artists: Monika Woods, Transylvanian born clarinetist, has been featured by Cape Symphony, Chatham Chorale, among others. She is founder of Open Mic Classical, and teaches at her studio in Brewster. Guitar player, John Dirac's diverse career includes jazz composition, gypsy jazz performance, and choral singing. John's CD’s are available on CD Baby. Eli Woods has a degree in jazz/composition from USC, LA. When not performing, composing, or recording music for tv scores, poetry underscores, educational products for McGraw-Hill, Eli Woods is often producing digital media such as audiobooks (he doubles as voice actor), recorded poetry, web-ads, motion graphic clips. This event is free and all are encouraged to attend!
